Abstrak

This study aims to analyse the influence of leadership style, motivation, and work discipline on the performance of members of the ad hoc Bawaslu (Election Supervisory Agency) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, with work involvement as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was used in this study, with the Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method as the analysis tool. Data were obtained from 150 respondents who were members of the sub-district and village/sub-district ad hoc bodies in the province. The results showed that motivation and work discipline had a significant effect on work engagement, while leadership style had no significant effect. Work engagement was found to have a significant impact on performance. However, the direct effects of motivation, work discipline, and leadership style on performance were not statistically significant. Mediation analysis showed that work engagement was only able to significantly mediate the relationship between work discipline and performance, while the mediating relationship for motivation and leadership style was not significant. These findings emphasise the importance of strengthening work discipline and work engagement as key factors in improving the performance of ad hoc body members. This study is expected to provide input for the development of human resource management strategies in the election monitoring environment.
