This study aims to evaluate the effect of tilapia stock density in bucket using an aquaponics system (budidakber). This study used a completely randomized design with three replicates, namely treatment A (5 fish/80 L), B (10 fish/80 L), and C (15 fish/80 L). All aquaponics systems were planted with lettuce (Lactuca sativa). The fish were maintained for 56 days with aeration and feeding twice a day based on biomass weight. The observation parameters included growth performance, absolute weight growth, and specific growth rate (SGR). The results showed that treatment A (5 fish/80 L) had the highest absolute growth (13.01 ± 1.05 g) and SGR (1.24 ± 0.13 % day⁻¹) compared to treatments with densities B (10 fish/80 L) and C (15 fish/80 L) (p < 0.05). The conclusion of this study is that a density of 5 fish is the optimal condition for tilapia growth in aquaponics with a volume of 80 liter
