Manuscript Types

Jurnal Ilmiah Sains (JIS) publishes original scientific research in mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, chemistry, and biology. This policy clarifies the manuscript category currently accepted by the journal and the basic requirements for submission.

1. Accepted Manuscript Type

Original Research Article

A full-length paper reporting original, unpublished research that makes a clear scholarly contribution within the journal’s focus and scope. Research articles should present a well-defined problem or objective, a sound and reproducible methodology, results supported by appropriate analysis, and a discussion of their scientific significance.

2. Essential Requirements

  • The manuscript must be original, within JIS’s scope, and not under consideration by another journal.
  • The article must follow the current JIS Author Guidelines and manuscript template, including the required structure, citation style, and presentation standards.
  • All claims must be supported by appropriate evidence, ethical research practices, and accurate acknowledgement of sources and contributions.
  • Submissions undergo editorial screening, similarity checking, and double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers before an editorial decision.

3. Editorial Assessment

The editorial team evaluates submissions for relevance, originality, scientific rigor, clarity, and compliance with journal policies. Acceptance is subject to peer-review outcomes and the final editorial decision. Submissions that do not meet these requirements may be returned for revision or declined.

4. Other Manuscript Categories

Review articles, short communications, technical notes, and other categories are not listed as regular accepted manuscript types in the currently published JIS Focus and Scope. Any future expansion of manuscript types must first be approved by the Editorial Board and reflected in the journal’s published policies and submission guidelines.
