Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Writing Guidelines on Media Teknologi Hasil Perikanan (MTHP)

To make articles published on MTHP, writers must consider several guidelines, as follows:

General Article Format

  • The articles to be submitted must be articles that have never been published or sent anywhere.
  • Every article to be submitted to MTHP is permitted to be written in Indonesian / English.
  • Manuscripts are at least 5 pages long and typed in MS.Word, 1 column, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman font, 12 font size, with A-4 paper format, and normal margins (1 "on each side)
  • Before submitting, format your article by providing a number on each line of “Line Numbers” (Click Layout → Line Numbers → Continuous), or use the existing template to type your article. Templates can be downloaded via. This is to facilitate the peer review process
  • To be able to submit articles online, you first need to register as an "author" through https://ejournal.unsrat.ac.id/index.php/jmthp/user/register
  • Your article needs to be submitted online with a login process after you register via https://ejournal.unsrat.ac.id/index.php/jmthp/login
  • Articles posted in this journal include research related to the application of technology for improving the quality of fishery products, developing new fishery products, safety of fishery products, utilization of fishery product waste and other topics that are closely related to the use and processing of fishery products that can be consumed. by humans.
  • Manuscripts are typed by considering the use of standard language, punctuation, and spelling in accordance with the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling (PUEBI). See https://puebi.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Contents of the Manuscript

  • Title: The title of the article must be clear (unambiguous) and identify the content. The title cannot be more than 20 words (including the use of Latin names)
  • Author Name (s) and Affiliation: Write the author's name without academic degrees or credits. If the author is more than one person, write them all down. Affiliations include: study program, department, faculty, university, author's address. Please indicate the appropriate author of the correspondence (including email address) by adding an asterisk (*) after the author's name. The author's name is written under the title. Correspondence address (e.g., email address)
  • Abstract: Abstracts are written in English and Indonesian. Abstract must contain the main research problem, research objectives, method or approach, and research results. Abstract must be in one paragraph with no more than 200 words containing: background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: Maximum 5 keywords in English / Indonesian with very clear meanings. Keywords are separated by commas (,).
  • Introduction: The introduction contains the background of the research, a brief description of the literature review from previous studies to show the limitations of previous studies (gap analysis), research objectives, the novelty of the study.
  • Material and Methods: Contains tools and materials, experimental design, research procedures, data analysis. It would be better if it is accompanied by a research flow chart. For literature study (review paper) it is not necessary to present a research method.
  • Results and Discussion: Articles must write down the results obtained, supported by data presented in tables or graphs. Graphics must be presented in B&W format. The discussion is intended to explain the reasons for the data obtained in comparison with relevant theories or previous studies, actual facts, comments, and analysis that make sense from the researchers. The use of sub-chapters in the discussion is adjusted to the needs.
  • Images: Images must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, etc.). Captions must be centered and placed below the image.
  • Tables: Tables should be arranged sequentially (e.g., Table 1, etc.). The title of the post must be (center alignment) and placed on top, like the following example.
  • Mathematical Formulas: Mathematical formulas must be numbered and clearly presented using Microsoft Equation.
  • Conclusion: It contains conclusions and suggestions. Conclusions briefly describe the results that discuss the hypothesis and / or objectives or research findings. This is a summary of the research and discussion, which is relevant to the findings, presented descriptively, not numerically. Suggestions provide things that are expected to be done related to further ideas that have been proposed by the study.
  • References: Every source used in the text must be included in the reference. And all references are included in the body of the text. Literature references are at least 10 and from scientific journals with DOI and at least 80% of them were published in the last 10 (ten) years. The maximum form of a book reference is two books. It is recommended to use a reference manager (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero, Reffwork, Endnote, etc.) in the process of writing texts and citations.
