Information for Authors

Interested in publishing your research with Sam Ratulangi Politics Review (SRPolRev)? We invite political scientists, public policy researchers, and scholars to submit original, unpublished empirical or theoretical manuscripts.

Pre-Submission Requirements
Before starting your submission, authors are required to carefully review our Author Guidelines, Focus and Scope, and Publication Ethics to ensure manuscript compliance and avoid desk rejection.

1. Account Registration & Login

New Authors:
If you do not have an account, click the Register link at the top of the homepage and complete the user registration form. Make sure to check the box 'Author: Able to submit items to the journal'.
Returning Authors:
If you are already registered, simply Log In using your credentials, navigate to your Author Dashboard, and click New Submission.

2. The Five-Step OJS Submission Process

The online submission workflow guides authors through five consecutive steps:

  • Step 1 (Start): Select the appropriate submission section, confirm submission checklist requirements, and agree to the copyright notice.
  • Step 2 (Upload Submission): Upload your anonymized manuscript file (.docx / .doc format) according to the SRPolRev Article Template.
  • Step 3 (Enter Metadata): Input full article title, abstract, co-author details, keywords, funding agency (if any), and APA 7th referencing list.
  • Step 4 (Upload Supplementary Files): Upload optional supplementary materials such as raw data, research instruments, ethics approvals, or cover letters.
  • Step 5 (Confirmation): Review the submitted information and click Finish Submission to transmit your manuscript to the editorial team.

3. Essential Submission Checklist

Please ensure that your manuscript is fully blinded for peer review (author names, affiliations, and self-referencing removed from the main text), formatted in Microsoft Word, and prepared strictly using the journal's official template.
