Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor that determines a company's success. To achieve optimal employee performance, a proper recruitment process and continuous employee competence development play a significant role. This study aims to analyze the influence of recruitment and competence on employee performance at PT. FIFGROUP Manado Branch. The background of this research is based on the importance of a structured and selective recruitment process, as well as sustainable competence development, to enhance employee performance in a competitive work environment. The research method used is quantitative, employing the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach with SmartPLS software. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 70 employees of PT. FIFGROUP Manado Branch, selected using purposive sampling techniques based on specific criteria such as years of service and job position.The results show that recruitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Competence also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, highlighting the importance of mastering skills, knowledge, and work attitudes that support the achievement of individual and organizational targets.
