The Influence of Human Resource Competence and Job Placement on Work-Life Balance at PT Jasamarga Manado Bitung

This research aims to analyze the influence of human resource (HR) competence and job placement on employees’ work-life balance at PT Jasamarga Manado Bitung. The research method used is quantitative with a causal approach. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the help of SmartPLS software. The sample consisted of 32 respondents, representing the entire population of permanent employees at PT Jasamarga Manado Bitung (using a saturated sampling technique). Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with a Likert scale. The results showed that: (1) HR competence does not have a direct significant effect on work-life balance; (2) HR competence has a positive and significant effect on job placement; and (3) job placement has a positive and significant effect on work-life balance. These findings indicate that job placement plays a mediating role in the relationship between HR competence and work-life balance. Thus, improving employee competence must be followed by appropriate job placement in order to create a better balance between professional and personal life. This study provides practical implications for developing strategic HR policies aimed at enhancing employee well-being and organizational performance.
